WE ARE...

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization.

We believe in relationships, research, running & ultimately recovery from mental illness!

Team Daniel was formed to advocate for and support people living with mental illness by organizing events to bring them and their families and friends together for social support and exercise and to help them negotiate the healthcare system to find the best treatments available to them. We also raise money to fund organizations that do research on treatments and that help people with mental illness find housing, employment and educational opportunities.

May 22, 2024, NAMI Westchester hosted an important discussion about Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) Speakers: Robert Laitman, MD, who treats patients with TD, and Deb Ginder, who lives with TD, gave an overview, discussed symptoms, causes, and how to manage them, followed by Q&A.

The condition is associated with prolonged use of antipsychotic medication that may be necessary to treat individuals living with mental illness, such as bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
